Brand voice
The voice Citable speaks in when it drafts content for you. The brand voice persona is your company’s own tone — formal or playful, technical or accessible, confident or curious. Citable captures this from your homepage on day one and lets you refine it on the Brand page. Every piece of content Brand Studio drafts gets written through this voice. Without it, you’d get generic AI-slop in your company’s name.Insider
A person who can credibly speak for the company — the founder, an engineer, a customer success lead. Insider personas matter for outreach and social posts. Replies on Reddit, LinkedIn comments, X threads — anywhere the audience expects a human voice, not a corporate handle. Each insider persona has its own tone, area of expertise, and the kind of conversations it should jump into. You typically have one to three of these. The founder is almost always one of them.Audience
The buyer or user Citable is trying to win attention from. Audience personas describe who’s asking the AI assistant the question. A “Series B SaaS CMO” asks different questions than a “solo agency owner” — and the AI answers each one differently. Citable tracks how visible you are to each audience persona separately, so you can tell whether you’re winning the segments you actually sell to. You typically have two to five of these.How they connect
Each piece of work in Citable is scoped to a persona type:- Content drafts are written in the brand voice, often anchored to a specific audience persona it’s trying to reach.
- Outreach replies are spoken as an insider persona, to a thread that maps to an audience persona.
- Recommendations in the Action Engine are scored against your most under-performing audience personas first.
